Non-Ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing
$195+
Non-Ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing uses the body’s natural wound healing process to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.
This treatment has moderate social downtime and is great for anyone looking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, the appearance of acne or surgical scars, or overall skin tone and texture.
A Home Care Kit containing a variety of sample-sized products is included with this treatment.
Non-ablative laser resurfacing, also known as fractional laser resurfacing, is a versatile skin service that can provide a large range of treatments, depending on desired results.
We recommend Non-ablative laser resurfacing to be done in a series of 3 or 6, depending on what you are working on. It can be performed as a stand alone treatment or can be combined with DiamondGlow or Dermaplaning beforehand to maximize your results.
These treatments include general skin resurfacing and can increase in their intensity for a more aggressive treatment to address scarring, wrinkles, pigmentation, and moderate skin tightening.
Similar to Microneedling, fractional laser resurfacing creates micro-injuries to the skin while leaving healthy untreated skin in between. This process allows the skin to heal and regenerate faster (typically 5-14 days) compared to traditional laser resurfacing, which has a downtime average of 30 days.
Although this service can be similar to microneedling, in many cases, it can be used in a far more aggressive manner.
This service is safe for most skin types. However, just as with all advanced services, it is suggested that you have a consultation prior to this service.
As you recover from this service, you will notice new tissue growth in the treated areas, which produces healthier skin that’s more even in both color and texture.
Additionally, there will be the production of new collagen and the tightening of the skin. Non-ablative fractional lasers restore, refresh, and rejuvenate the skin but can take an average of 90 days to see the final results of the treatment. You will want to keep this in mind when planning your service timeline.
Immediately after the treatment, you can expect redness, swelling, and possible brown skin debris or shedding, also known as bronzing, at the skin’s surface. This is common; these symptoms typically last anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. Some of these symptoms can persist for up to 14 days on rare occasions. It is suggested that clients schedule a follow-up appointment two weeks after this service for a DiamondGlow Microdermabrasion facial, paired with a custom mask. This service will help remove any remaining dead skin and help reveal your new and glowing skin.
Although this service is safe for most skin types, just as with all advanced services, it is suggested that you receive a consultation with your student esthetician prior to this service. Other possible side effects will be discussed at your appointment, as well as the necessary post-treatment care and your specific treatment plan during your consultation.
Suggested services that can complement your laser resurfacing can be scheduled before the treatment or as a follow-up service. These recommended services include dermaplaning, DiamondGlow Microdermabaraion, and Dyschromia reduction.
