Photo Rejuvenation & Dyschromia Reduction

$110+

Photo-Rejuvenation & Dyschromia Reduction, often called IPL, is a light-based skin therapy that targets pigmentation from sun damage and redness for overall skin rejuvenation.

This treatment has minimal downtime and is great for anyone looking to reduce signs of photoaging such as sun spots or age spots, diffuse redness or visible capillaries, and improve the overall skin tone quality. A series of three treatments is recommended to see maximum treatment results.

A Home Care Kit containing a variety of sample-sized products is included with this treatment.

Laser resurfacing

Photorejuvenation and Dyschromia Reduction service is performed using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), also referred to as Broad Band Light (BBL) and Lasers.

The spectrum of light used is lower and a more gentle level of LED lights than other skin regenerating services. This service is also known as Light Therapy or Photodynamic Therapy. This therapy is recommended to improve the appearance and quality of the skin.

The term photo rejuvenation best describes an all-over improvement in skin tone, pigmentation (including redness and irritation), and texture. It produces skin that is even in tone with a glowing and calm completion.

Photorejuvenation is often suggested for skin maintenance or as a “pre-juvenation” service. This service can be performed every four weeks in a series of treatments or as suggested for a maintenance plan.

Dyschromia reduction is different than photo rejuvenation. Instead of focusing on multiple treatment areas, dyschromia reduction is solely used to treat pigmentary issues. These conditions include irritation and redness, Angiomas, Couperosed skin, telangiectasia, rosacea, sun damage, sun spots, and melasma.

This service is suggested for those looking to improve these pigmentation irregularities greatly. The service can be done with IPL or laser, depending on the skin type and the type of pigmentation that will be treated.

Post-treatment, the skin can feel sunburnt and tender. You can expect to see bronzing or darkening of the pigmentation. This skin will darken and slough off over the course of a five to 14 days normal healing process.

Photo Rejuvenation & Dyschromia Reduction reduces visible pigmentation. However, if proper professional products are not used to protect the skin after treatment, the pigmentation can return or even worsen. A professionally recommended SPF used daily is an absolute must at the very minimum. Discuss best homecare practices with your student esthetician.
