Below is a brief overview of the Circadia products you will be learning about at the Aesthetics Institute during your studies. Some of these products will be used every day in our Masters Esthetics program when you are performing services on fellow students and paying clients.
These descriptions are meant as simple explanations of each product. During the course of your esthetics program, you will learn a great deal more detail and history about each product line, class of product, and the individual product you will be dispensing to clients.
Please note that as product lines and industry trends change, so do the specific products and formulations we use and teach at the school. This product list is not meant to be comprehensive and will change regularly.
Some of these products are only available for beauty professionals, and some also have retail formulations.
Your use of professional products while learning and performing services at the school is included in your Kit Fee.
Circadia Product Categories
Cleansers
Amandola Milk Cleanser
A gentle, non-foaming cleanser containing both lactic and mandelic acid. These alpha hydroxy acids are designed to gently exfoliate the skin while still retaining moisture and brightening the skin- diminishing the appearance of any hyperpigmentation.
This cleanser is ideal for anyone with mature skin or anyone who would like to work on either moisture retention or brightening hyperpigmentation.
Lipid Replacing Cleansing Gel
This cleanser gently and effectively removes dirt, makeup, and lipids without harming the skin’s barrier or denaturing keratin. Specially formulated with a non-irritating foaming gel, this cleanser is suited for all skin types, particularly normal to combination types.
Vitamin Veil Cleanser
An oil-based cleanser that effectively removes makeup and other environmental soils without disrupting the skin’s sensitive barrier, leaving behind an invisible veil of antioxidants. This is our go-to cleanser following any aggressive procedures- laser, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc. This is the ideal cleanser for anyone with dry or aging skin.
Micro-Exfoliating Honey Cleanser
The #1 selling cleanser from Circadia. This cleanser gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin while absorbing extra oil. Made up of microbeads of beeswax, which are rigid enough to exfoliate while not rigid enough to cause micro-tearing in the skin like many other exfoliants.
This cleanser is great for all skin types but especially good for anyone with an oily skin type to reduce the extra oil without leaving the skin feeling tight and dry. Gentle enough to use up to twice daily, this cleanser also smells just like honey.
Salicylic Gel Cleanser
A specialty cleanser formulated to be used 2-5 times weekly. It contains a highly purified form of 2% salicylic acid, used to penetrate the sebaceous follicle and break down protein around comedones. This cleanser is ideal for anyone struggling with bacterial acne.
Toners
Blueberry and White Tea Hydrating Mist
This mist is great for all skin types but is especially indicated for anyone struggling with either dry or aging skin. This mist has anti-inflammatory benefits as well as hydrating, calming, and soothing the skin. Use this mist whenever you are trying to relieve the skin of inflammation and discomfort or when you need a little boost of hydration.
Licorice and Bearberry Brightening Mist
This mist is indicated for anyone with any type of pigmentation issue, damaged skin, or anyone hoping to work on anti-aging. This mist will brighten, hydrate and protect your skin.
Aloe and Calendula Calming Mist
This mist is indicated for anyone with sensitive skin, compromised skin barrier, rosacea, or anyone healing post-chemical peel. This mist has anti-inflammatory benefits, along with soothing, calming, and hydrating the skin. This mist is great for all skin types but is especially indicated for anyone trying to relieve the skin of irritation or discomfort.
Serums
Vitamin C Reversal Serum
This serum contains not only the most active and stable form of vitamin C (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate) but also vitamin B5 and 3 different weights of hyaluronic acid to keep your skin feeling hydrated and healthy.
Vitamin C is known to brighten and hydrate the skin, along with being a powerful antioxidant that fights off free radicals throughout the day- making it a staple ingredient in your skincare routine.
This form of vitamin C is also known to be much less irritating to the skin than traditional vitamin C formulas due to the fact that it can be formulated at a neutral pH. This serum is amazing for all skin types and is so gentle it can be used post chemical peels or laser.
Myo-Cyte Plus
This serum is indicated for anyone with mature or damaged skin. This serum is considered an alternative to Botox, it is a powerful wrinkle reducer while assisting with anti-glycation and minimizing muscle contraction. Formulated with several different peptides, this serum not only fills wrinkles from the inside out but also aids in preventing new wrinkles from forming.
Counter A.G.E
A serum formulated to detoxify the skin and reverse the signs of aging and glycation- a process that happens in the skin caused by the foods we consume.
Moisturizers
Post Peel Balm
A semi-occlusive balm formulated specifically for protecting the skin following more aggressive procedures such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, etc.
Formulated to trap moisture without trapping in heat, it’s anti-inflammatory, reduces TEWL, and is soothing and hydrating, which relieves discomfort after more advanced procedures.
AquaPorin
Indicated for dry, aging, or dehydrated skin, this lightweight moisturizer promotes inner hydration while reducing TEWL.
Formulated with different blends of oils that match the skin’s lipid profile, we will get more “surface hydration” by slowing moisture loss, while peptides promote inner hydration by helping to bring moisture up to the upper levels of the epidermis.
Specialty Products
Nighttime Repair
This nighttime lotion contains .3% retinol, an ultra-stable form of vitamin C and vitamin E, as well as being packed with other antioxidants.
The moderate levels of vitamin A in this product make it a great introduction to anyone just starting to incorporate vitamin A into their skincare routine and is specifically formulated for anyone under the age of 35 looking to prevent fine lines and wrinkles.
Nighttime Repair Plus
This nighttime lotion is known as the “graduating” product to move onto after utilizing the original Nighttime Repair long enough that the skin has now “plateaued,” meaning it needs a little bit more of that vitamin A to get the same effect. Containing a .5% retinol as opposed to the .3% in the original formula, along with all the other same amazing ingredients from the first formulation, we also have the addition of Roxisomes. An ingredient is known for repairing DNA damage caused by oxidative stress, pollution, or UV rays.
This product is perfect for anyone ready to graduate from the original Nighttime Repair or anyone 35 and up who’s looking to not only smooth out fine lines and wrinkles but leave their skin feeling hydrated and glowing.
Vitamin A Boosting Cream
This cream was originally formulated for clients already on a vitamin A routine, but their skin has now “plateaued.” Specifically for clients experiencing advanced aging or damaged skin, this product is formulated with 1% vitamin A.
It will increase cell turnover, reduce wrinkles and increase firmness in the skin. It’s the perfect option to elevate vitamin A products such as the Nighttime Repair or Nighttime Repair Plus by layering it right on top.
White Veil Brightener
Indicated for anyone with damaged skin or anyone who would like to work on pigmentation or anti-aging. Containing powerful antioxidants, several tyrosinase inhibitors, and a melanosome transfer inhibitor, this lotion will brighten the skin while evening out skin tone.
Rose Ease
Specifically indicated for anyone clinically diagnosed with rosacea. Formulated to spot treat rosacea (never a full face application) up to 2-3 times weekly. This product is formulated with anti-inflammatories, antimicrobials, and essential oils that specifically target the Demodex mite, which is thought to be responsible for rosacea.
PhiTo-Pep 1.6
This vitamin A alternative nighttime lotion is indicated for anyone looking to prevent the signs of aging. This product is perfect for anyone who is generally more reactive or sensitive to traditional vitamin A products but still looking to get the cell turnover offered by vitamin A.
An anti-aging cream with peptide support and an oil-soluble form of vitamin C, this lotion can even be layered with traditional vitamin A products to boost the ingredients.
Body Products
Professional Firming and Shaping Gel Pro
This gel is scientifically proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite on thighs and buttocks. Specifically indicated for anyone with a lack of firmness, dimpled skin, or cellulite.
Contains several different ingredients that aid in circulation, increasing local and fat metabolism and utilizing fatty tissues. Can be used as a daily treatment, an addition to a body wrap treatment, or under clothing while working out.
Tidal Body Moisture
A moisturizer for the body that utilizes several emollients to slow down moisture loss. Formulated for all skin types, this moisturizer is protective, soothing, and filled with antioxidants. Use to give the body the same boost of hydration and antioxidants that it’s generally lacking compared to the face.
SPF
Light Day SPF 37
A hydrating sunscreen that doubles as a day cream. Filled with peptides that protect cells against free radical damage and prevent damage caused by UV radiation, this is a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB radiation. Contains the award-winning ingredient “solo stay,” which releases heat before it can be absorbed back into the skin- a common concern amongst certain sunscreens.
Eyes
Full Circle Eye Repair
An eye cream with two formulations- one for day and one for night. The day formula will brighten under eye circles, reduce wrinkle depth, protect collagen, and is filled with antioxidants. It contains a neurotransmitter inhibitor to suppress muscle contraction- therefore preventing the formulation of new wrinkles.
The night formula prevents puffiness, reduces under-eye bags, reduces fine lines/wrinkles, and promotes and boosts fibroblast activity. It contains a 0.1% vitamin A to speed up skin cell turnover while also strengthening and supporting the tissue, aiding in the growth and repair of the epidermis, stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen, and improving firmness and elasticity.
Chemical Peels
Alpha / Beta Peel
The Alpha-Beta Peel uses the perfect blend of acids to exfoliate without harshness, irritation, or inflammation. With new technology in peeling, clients experience little to no stinging and should not experience flaking or peeling.
DermaFrost Peel
This peel has two strengths, 12.5%, and 25%. This results-oriented beta hydroxyl peel will address all aspects of acneic skin. This quick procedure is designed to cut through oil, reduce bacteria and decrease inflammation for problematic skin resulting in a clear, oil-free complexion.
Lactic Acid Peel
Lactic acid is a member of the Alpha Hydroxy group of molecules that promote desquamation of the stratum corneum. Suitable for most skin types, ideal for aging, dry and sensitive skin types.
pk Peel Neutralizing Spray
Used to neutralize gel-based peels.
Vitamin A Accelerator
This accelerator is a multifunctional treatment booster designed to accelerate physical peeling from the inside out without creating damage to the skin. Suitable for all skin types- aging, dry, fine lines, brightening of post-inflammatory pigmentation, and photodamaged skin.
Advanced Esthetics Chemical Peels
The peels are only taught and applied to students and clients in our Advanced Esthetics program.
Jessner Peel
Circadia’s Jessner’s Peel is a combination of 14% Resorcinol, 14% Lactic, and 14% Salicylic Acid. Since resorcinol is a peeling agent, the client will experience noticeable peeling or flaking approximately 3 to 4 days after the peel. Skin type indications include pigmentation, acne, sun damage, lentigines, hyperpigmentation, and Fitzpatrick I-III. Can be repeated every 2-3 months.
MandeliClear Peel
The MandeliClear Peel System is a deeper peel that was developed specifically for treating pigmentation issues associated with skin of color. Skin type indications include brightening of post-inflammatory pigmentation due to: acne, melasma or photodamage, and mild acne scarring.
